Frequently Asked Questions about Photo Restoration


Q. Will my original photograph be altered in any way ?

A.No, If you send us an original we will simply scan it and all the work will be done on the digital copy.

Q. How long will it take?

A.If you upload an image to us we will have the restored digital copy returned to you within one week. If you require a print or CD sent to you please allow 2 weeks. If you are sending us original photos to be scanned, please allow up to 3 weeks for your items to be returned.

Q. How much does it cost?

A.Photorestoration costs range from $25-$100 per image depending on the complexity of the job. Most images can be restored between $25 and $40.

Q. I don't have a scanner and have original photographs but don't want to send them in the mail for fear that they could be lost or damaged, what should I do?

A.You have 2 choices here. The best solution is to bring them to a service like Kinkos and have them scanned at 300 dpi and saved to jpeg format.  You can have the scans saved to CD or DVD and send a copy to us, or upload them through our upload image page.

Alternately you can have photographic duplicates made and send them to us.

Q. My image files are more than the 20 mb maximum allowed on the upload page. What should I do.

A. Email us and we will send instructions on uploading to an FTP site.
